Roll over truck accidents can be prevented

May 11, 2012

Yesterday we wrote about a rollover accident at the Peace Bridge, in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. The American Transportation Research Institute just came out with a large study of truck accidents, particularly big rig rollovers.

The study identifies spots with a high frequency of large truck rollovers. New York and Western New York top rollover locations include:

I – 84 and SR 17

I – 90 and I – 87

I – 84 and I – 87

I – 84 and I – 684

I – 90 and US 20

I – 90 and I – 290

When you’re passing through if any of these locations, give trucks around you plenty of space. sometimes the road environment contributes to the difficulty of the truck driver maintaining control . for more safety tips check out our site http://newyorktrucklawyer.com/
