Attorney Joel Feroleto

Joel Feroleto received his Juris Doctor from the University at Buffalo Law School. He is an alumni of Canisius College and Saint Joseph’s Collegiate Institute in Buffalo. Prior to joining Feroleto Law, he worked at a large New York City based firm focusing on banking law and an upstate New York firm with a practice limited to catastrophic injury. He has appeared in various New York Courts from trial through the appellate level.

Mr. Feroleto has a passion for public service. He currently serves on the Buffalo Common Council representing the Delaware District, which included North Buffalo and the Elmwood Village. Mr. Feroleto is also an adjunct professor at D’Youville University, teaching a class on Street Art and Social Activism.

Joel Feroleto is active in the community and has served on the Board of Directors at Housing Opportunities Made Equal (HOME), The Milestone Foundation, and Save the Michaels of the World. He also serves as the Regional Coordinator for the National Italian American Foundation.

In 2015, he received the Sarah G. Metzger Award from HOME for his contributions to further human rights. In 2019 he received the Amherst Chamber of Commerce Community Revitalization Award for cofounding the Hertel Walls public art project. In 2020 Mr. Feroleto was recognized by Art Services Inc. with the Spark Award for Supporter of the Cultural Sector. In 2022, he was presented with the Marilyn GS Watt Alumni Award from the Communication Department at Canisius College. This award is given to an alumnus who meets four criteria: career achievement, communication-related community involvement, professional commitment, and previous honors and awards.

Away from the office Joel enjoys running and cycling and competes in events including the triathlon and marathons.
