The John Feroleto Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to celebrate and continue the legacy of John Feroleto—a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and distinguished trial lawyer, as well as a proud first-generation college graduate from Buffalo’s West Side.
John’s life and career were defined by resilience, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to justice. He was a mentor, advocate, and friend to many, and his dedication to serving others left a lasting impact on the legal community and beyond.
About the Scholarship
The John Feroleto Memorial Scholarship supports students who exemplify John’s values of perseverance, public service, and advocacy.
The scholarship is awarded annually to undergraduate or law students; specifically first-generation college students or students who demonstrate a strong commitment to serving their communities.
Award Amount: $1,000
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be entering or already enrolled in an accredited college, university or law school
- Be a first-generation college student or demonstrate significant commitment to public service, advocacy, or community involvement
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
How to Apply
Applications are accepted annually from September 1 to March 31 each year.
To apply, please submit:
- A completed application form
- Responses to short essay questions
- Current resume
- Unofficial transcript
- One letter of recommendation
