Utility Workers Struck on Route 394

December 27, 2012

Utility and construction workers toil in difficult conditions. They work hard. They work in horrible weather. And the work is dangerous. As a personal injury lawyer I have fought for many workers and their families trying to deal with insurance companies.

Invariably, if injured, the worker wants to get back to work and wants to take care of his family and protect his or her home.

Unfortunately, a utility worker was killed in Chautauqua County, south of Westfield. He and a coworker were standing near a bucket truck when struck at 2:45 Wednesday. Troopers cited blowing snow and icy roads. We, as drivers in upstate New York have to adjust for the these road conditions

This winter, if there are workers on the road, slow down, give them space and “give them the brake”.
