Upcoming 5K race to raise awareness about brain injuries

September 3, 2014

Headway of WNY provides support and advocacy for people with brain injuries, disabilities, and seniors. We are proud to again sponsor their “Walk, Run, & Wheel” Event (“Wheel” is for wheelchair) this Sunday, September 7, 2014. This is a 5K race to raise money and awareness for Headway and its services.

Registration/check in begins at 8:30 a.m. and the race starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Erie Basin Marina and The Hatch, the cost is only $20.00.

Recently, head injuries have made the news in the context of sport injuries. As personal injury attorneys who handle car accident cases, we often represent clients who have been diagnosed with brain injuries. Unlike a broken bone that can heal with a cast or maybe even pins, brain injuries can not be repaired. It often takes years of recovery often requiring people to relearn basic skills.

We are proud to sponsor this important event.
