Train cars derail in Buffalo

March 6, 2012

As a personal injury attorney who had childhood dreams of working on the Railroad, any news involving trains catches my attention. The Buffalo News reported that cars from a CSX train derailed at around 7 a.m. in Buffalo this morning. Thankfully, there were no injuries.

The derailment occured on a track that stretches from Ohio through Pennsylvania and to Buffalo.

This is not the first time CSX has derailed in Buffalo. In 2007 a derailed train exploded and in 2006 a derailment caused a box car to enter Union Road.

Perhaps the railroad seems like an outdated form of transportation in this day and age, but many goods and products are moved across our Country everyday via rail. It is this writers opinion that this infrastructure must be maintained and repaired to keep everyone safe.
