Texting while driving simulator

February 9, 2011

As a Buffalo and Western New York injury attorney I am always concerned with the dangers associated with texting while driving. A texting while driving simulator is on display at the Buffalo Auto Show. As reported by WGRZ “The computer simulator takes you through a virtual neighborhood, with you behind the wheel. While siting in a driver’s chair, looking at a monitor, you have to turn corners, avoid pedestrians and use your safe driving skills all while text messaging. Depending on if you crash, a trip to the hospital is simulated as well as a trip to court for reckless driving.” The auto show runs through Sunday.

Any device that can help spread information regarding such dangers is a valuable tool. Some drivers still insist on texting while driving. Hopefully this display will show others the dangers involved and help keep our road safe for all drivers.
