Our hearts and prayers go out to the family of the New York State Trooper, who lost his life on I 290 Saturday in the line of duty. Early reports suggest the driver of the truck may have been looking left as he entered I 290 from the Colvin on ramp or early morning sun was in his eyes.

On the same day a Westfield man was pinned against the rear of his car by a tractor, suffering serious injuries in the Town of Portland, Chautauqua County. The tractor driver was reportedly blinded by the early morning sun. John Feroleto
