Spring Cleaning – Check your home and yard for recalled products.

May 4, 2012

As a personal injury attorney I have seen a lot of instances where dangerous and defective products have caused significant injuries to people. When we go to a store and purchase anything from food to baby beds we assume it is for sale because it is safe to use. Sadly this simply is not the case. A lot products that are not safe do reach the market and are bought by people who have no reason to expect their purchase to be dangerous. I visit the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) web page at least once per week and I suggest you do the same. The website is: http://www.cpsc.gov/

Now that Spring is here it is time to dust off the patio or porch furniture and maybe even add a new swing set to the backyard for the kids. As part of your Spring cleaning or planning your Spring/Summer purchases please visit the CPSC page: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml12/12165.html This page provides a list of products that can expose your loved ones to danger. Please take time to look at the list and then check your home to see if you already own any of these recalled products. If you do own a listed product please follow the instructions provided by the CPSC.
