New Peace Bridge inspections may decrease truck accidents

October 12, 2012

There have been many rear end collisions involving stopped trucks on the QEW near the Peace Bridge. Maybe it’s because I handle truck accidents that I’m looking at the new agreement from a safety standpoint.

This week the United States and Canada have agreed that American personnel may inspect off low bound trucks in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. This will improve traffic flow across the Peace Bridge and should prevent long lines of stopped trucks waiting for inspection in Buffalo. It’s a good idea and should benefit both those who drive trucks and cars.
