Kate Feroleto Featured in the News for Her Leadership in Western New York’s Legal Community

We’re proud to share that Kate Feroleto was recently featured in the Buffalo News for her work as the leader of the Western New York affiliate of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association (NYSTLA). The article highlights Kate’s dedication to advocating for injured individuals, mentoring other attorneys, and strengthening the civil justice system in Western New York.

A Leader in Justice and Community Advocacy

As a trial lawyer, Kate has built her career on standing up for people who have been injured through no fault of their own. Her leadership with NYSTLA reflects that same commitment — ensuring that every New Yorker has access to justice and that those responsible for causing harm are held accountable.

“Being entrusted with this leadership role is truly an honor,” Kate said. “The NYSTLA community is full of passionate, hardworking attorneys who fight every day to protect the rights of ordinary people. Together, we’re making a difference for clients, for families, and for the safety of our communities.”

In her position as head of the Western New York affiliate, Kate works closely with other trial lawyers to advance NYSTLA’s mission: promoting public safety, defending access to the courts, and advocating for fair treatment of all New Yorkers.

Empowering Clients and Strengthening the Community

For Kate, leadership isn’t about titles — it’s about service. She believes deeply in the importance of listening to clients, understanding their stories, and fighting to secure the justice they deserve.

“Every case is personal,” Kate explained. “When someone walks through our doors, they’re often going through one of the hardest times in their life. My job — and my privilege — is to help them find their voice, to guide them through the legal process, and to fight for a result that truly helps them move forward.”

Kate’s commitment to advocacy extends beyond the courtroom. She regularly collaborates with fellow attorneys, mentors younger lawyers, and supports initiatives aimed at improving safety and fairness in Western New York and across the country.

“Advocacy doesn’t stop when the case ends,” Kate said. “Whether it’s working to make our roads safer, standing up for stronger consumer protections, or mentoring the next generation of trial lawyers — it’s all part of the same mission: making our community stronger and safer for everyone.”
