Joel Feroleto Recognized With Sarah G. Metzger Human Rights Award

Feroleto Law attorney, Joel Feroleto, and Christopher Hull, Director of Community Development for the Town of Hamburg, New York were honored on April 14, 2015 with the Sarah G. Metzger Human Rights Award by Housing Opportunities Made Equal (HOME).

As a Buffalo Common Councilmember, Joel Feroleto introduced an amendment, which was passed unanimously and signed into law, to the City of Buffalo’s Fair Housing ordinance to protect rights of people with disabilities. In addition, Joel represents people in Buffalo and Western New York on an individual basis when they must deal with insurance companies following an injury or disability. Often, through no fault of their own, people are injured in work related accidents, collisions, etc. When this happens, and they are unable to work they often quickly become at risk of being evicted from their apartment, or losing their home, or unable to take care of their families.
