Another Fatal New York Thruway Bus Crash

July 22, 2011

As a New York State bus accident and truck accident attorney I have been blogging about the too many bus accidents on the I – 90 and other New York State highways.

The fact is, if the DOT regulations are followed most of these tragedies would never occur. Just days ago we discussed another fatal bus crash south of Rochester, New York.

Unfortunately, this morning but tour bus from Welland, Ontario traveling to New York City was involved in an horrific, fiery crash after being rear ended by a tractor-trailer traveling in the same direction.

The truck is owned by Matrix Expedited Service, LLC from Flint, Michigan and was hauling automotive parts.

Two people were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, by helicopter, others were taken to numerous area hospitals between Rochester and Syracuse New York.

The charred tractor-trailer and bus are currently on the side of the I 90 near the Junius Pond State police station. The New York State police are investigating at this time.
