Bicycle recall-Failing Forks

As a bicycle rider, I have friends who were injured riding. As an injury attorney I represent bike riders seriously hurt due to the recklessness of others. None can reasonably anticipate serious injury because their front fork comes apart while riding.

Specialized Bicycle Components recalled 12,000 Globe bike models as a result of front forks breaking. Riders had head, face and shoulder injuries as a result of the component failure. Owners were advised to stop riding the bikes immediately. The CPSC website has details

They include Globe Elite, Globe Sport, Globe Sport Disc, Globe Centrum Comp, Globe Centrum Elite, Globe City 6, Globe Vienna 3, Globe Vienna 3 Disc, Globe Vienna 4, Globe Vienna Deluxe 3, Globe Vienna Deluxe 4, Globe Vienna Deluxe 5 and Globe Vienna Deluxe 6 bicycles.
