Not amused, Amusement Parks

August 23, 2011

Amusement park deaths and injuries have been in the news lately. Today the Buffalo News ran an article about these tragic events. Recently a local Western New York veteran was killed after he fell out of Darien Lake’s ‘Ride of Steel.’

We want everyone to have fun and for some this involves exciting rides. However, to date, there are no federal regulations for amusement park rides. This is frightening considering they are devises that hurl passengers into the air and upside down rendering them helpless and at the hands of the operator, manufacturer and repair people among others.

As a personal injury firm we have handled several cases where people have been injured on amusement park rides.
