52 Unsafe Bus Companies Shut Down

December 12, 2013

As a personal injury attorney who handles bus accident cases. I am happy that the Department of Transportation has ordered closed 52 bus companies in a crack down on unsafe carriers. Today the roads are safer.

In New York, Coach USA Tour, Inc., Horizon Coach, Inc., Uniworld Tours, Inc. and Gotham Coach Service, Inc. are out of business, at least temporarily.

We’ve previously discussed a number of unnecessary bus crashes in the New York Thruway, I 90, the I390 outside of Rochester, New York and other areas. Buses frequently travel tov and from Ontario, Canada travel through Buffalo, New York, Erie County and other counties in upstate New York. In addition to danger to bus passengers, these bus companies also are hazardous to other users of our roads and highways. It’s about time.
